Braintree Health Partners
For Referring Providers and PI Attorneys

Frequently Asked Questions

How our physician-led, mobile brain injury testing works, from referral to report.

What does Braintree Health Partners do?
We provide mobile brain injury testing for patients across Florida. After testing, the referring provider receives a physician-reviewed diagnostic report. The patient stays with their provider for care. We diagnose. You treat.
Who is behind Braintree?
Braintree is physician-led. Dr. Jon Kimball, MD, is our Co-Founder, Clinical Lead, and Benjamin Thayer is our Co-Founder and Co-Owner. Headquartered in the Tampa area, serving all of Florida by mobile service.
How does a referral work?
Call or email us with the patient's basic contact details and we schedule the visit. We coordinate timing and location with your office, complete the testing, and send the physician-reviewed diagnostic report back to you.
Which patients should be referred?
Patients with a recent head impact or whiplash who report headaches, dizziness, brain fog, memory problems, light sensitivity, sleep changes, or mood changes. If you're unsure, call us and we'll talk it through.
Where does testing happen?
Testing is mobile. We come to your clinic or the patient's home anywhere in Florida, and we coordinate every visit with the referring provider.
When is the report available?
Reports are typically available in about 48 hours, subject to case requirements. A visit itself usually takes about an hour.
What is in the report?
A physician-reviewed diagnostic report documenting the testing performed and the findings. It goes to the treating provider and, with proper authorization, to the legal team.
Why test if the CT or MRI was clear?
CT and MRI are designed to show structural damage like bleeding or fractures. Many concussions and mild brain injuries don't show up on those scans. Our testing looks at how the brain is functioning. A clear scan does not always mean there is no injury, and testing cannot promise a particular result.
Does the patient stay with their provider?
Yes. We don't take over care. You remain the treating provider and make the clinical decisions. We diagnose. You treat.
Can the report help a personal injury case?
The report documents findings. It makes no promise about any diagnosis, settlement or legal outcome. How it's used in a case is the attorney's decision.
How is testing paid for?
Payment arrangements vary by case. Many personal injury cases are handled through the patient's case. Call us and we'll walk you through the options.
Do you pay or accept referral fees?
No. We don't pay referral fees to providers, attorneys or anyone else, and we don't accept them.
Is this within a chiropractor's scope of practice?
Scope of practice varies. Please confirm with your licensing board what applies to your license and how you use the results in your care.
How do I book a short video call?
