How Mobile TBI Testing Works

  1. Referral. A treating provider refers through /referral or by calling 813-709-3771. Attorneys work through the client's treating provider.
  2. Scheduling. We coordinate a date with the provider's office. Several patients can be tested on one visit.
  3. Testing day. A trained technician sets up portable equipment at the practice and runs the referred assessments (eye-movement, neurocognitive, brain-activity, symptom questionnaires).
  4. Physician review. A physician reviews the results.
  5. Report delivery. The treating provider receives the report.
  6. Next steps. The provider continues care, and specialty evaluations are coordinated when indicated.

Before the referral

Most referrals begin with a pattern the treating provider notices: an accident patient whose headaches, dizziness, fog, light sensitivity, or sleep problems haven't resolved. Attorneys sometimes raise the question first. In that case the next step is making sure the client has a treating provider, because Braintree testing is always arranged through one. Patients with emergency symptoms such as a worsening headache, repeated vomiting, a seizure, or weakness should go to the emergency department first.

What the referring office does

The office sends the referral with the patient's contact details, date and mechanism of injury, documented symptoms, and relevant history. That's all. There's no equipment to prepare and no special training. On testing day the office provides a quiet room. Normal scheduling continues while our technician works.

What the patient experiences

Patients are tested somewhere familiar, at their own provider's office. The technician explains each step. Tasks include following targets on a screen, short computer exercises, a seated brain-activity recording with scalp sensors, and symptom questionnaires. Nothing is invasive. Patients can ask for breaks if their symptoms flare.

After the report

The treating provider reviews the physician's findings with the patient and decides what happens next. That may mean continuing current care, changing activities, or referring for specialty evaluation, which Braintree can help coordinate. The provider stays in charge throughout. We diagnose. You treat.

Where we serve

Our team is based in the Tampa Bay area and schedules mobile testing days for practices across Florida. See service areas for current regions.

Roles at a glance

Treating provider: screens patients, refers, hosts testing day, reviews the report, and directs care.

Braintree: schedules, sends the technician and equipment, coordinates the physician review, delivers the report, and helps coordinate specialty evaluations when needed.

Patient: attends testing at a familiar office and follows up with their own provider.

Attorney (when involved): connects the client with a treating provider and obtains records through normal authorized channels.

Keeping these roles clear is what makes the model work. Providers keep their patients, patients avoid extra travel, and everyone works from the same objective documentation. Questions about any step? Call 813-709-3771 or book a 15-minute briefing, and we'll walk your team through it using your own workflow.

Common points of confusion

Some offices assume Braintree takes over care after testing. We don't. Others expect the patient to receive results directly. Results go to the treating provider, who explains them. And some attorneys ask whether they can order testing themselves. Testing is always arranged through a treating provider, which keeps the process clinically grounded. Clearing up these points early keeps referrals simple and avoids delays.
