Brandon & Riverview Mobile Concussion Testing
Southeast Hillsborough has grown fast, and so has the number of practices treating its commuters. Braintree brings testing to those offices from our nearby Tampa Bay base.
Who this is for: Written for chiropractic, therapy and medical practices in Brandon, Riverview and southeast Hillsborough, and for the commuting families they treat.
Key takeaways
- Brandon, Riverview, Valrico and Apollo Beach practices are scheduled from our Tampa Bay base.
- Patients are tested at their own provider's office. Nobody has to drive into Tampa.
- Southeast Hillsborough practices are often grouped on one route, which can make testing days more regular.
- When parents and teens are hurt in the same crash, the provider decides separately whether each needs testing.
- A neurologist interprets each report, then the referring provider gets a copy and decides care.
A fast-growing corridor
Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Apollo Beach and nearby communities have grown quickly, and so has the network of chiropractic and therapy offices serving commuters there. Riverview is part of the area Braintree has worked in, and our technicians come from the Tampa Bay base to test patients at the office they already visit.
A commuter who was rear-ended on I-75 shouldn't have to make the same drive again just to be tested.
Commuter crashes

Many patients here commute to Tampa on I-75, the Selmon Expressway or State Road 60, while US-301 and Bloomingdale Avenue carry heavy local traffic. Highway-speed collisions and sudden stops bring patients to a chiropractor with neck pain. Some also describe headaches, fogginess or trouble concentrating at work, and those symptoms deserve a consistent screen.
Families from the same crash
Southeast Hillsborough has many young families, and practices often see a parent and a teenager from the same collision. Each person's symptoms are different, and the treating provider decides whether each one needs testing. Our teen driver and family guides can help those households know what to watch for.

How we schedule here
Brandon and Riverview practices are typically grouped with other southeast Hillsborough offices so technicians can plan efficient routes. Coordinators may pair nearby partner practices on the same day, which can make visits more regular. We confirm your schedule during the briefing.
One crash, several patients: the provider evaluates each family member on their own symptoms.
What the practice receives

Each patient's report goes to a neurologist for interpretation, and the referring provider then receives a copy. It describes findings from eye-movement, neurocognitive and brain-activity testing, and it typically returns within 48 hours, or typically 7 to 10 days with labs.
For patients
Your provider's office will tell you when the technician is coming. The visit typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. Bring your glasses, your medication list and your symptom notes.
Signs that can't wait for the technician
After a crash on I-75 or anywhere else, go to the ER or call 911 for a headache that is getting worse, repeated vomiting, a seizure, weakness or confusion.
