Head Injury Testing for South Miami-Dade

Testing close to farm country, not an hour north. We diagnose. You treat.

The Redland is one of Florida's busiest agricultural areas, with nurseries, groves, and packing operations. Injuries from farm equipment, falls, and rural road crashes happen far from the specialty offices of central Miami. Braintree tests at the treating provider's office in the area.

Why a separate page

Different injuries, different roads, different barriers

Head injuries here often come from falls from ladders or loading docks, farm vehicle and tractor incidents, and crashes on two-lane farm roads such as Krome Avenue (SR 997), where slow equipment shares the road with commuters and trucks heading to the Keys.

Many patients are hourly agricultural workers who cannot easily take a day off to drive to north Miami-Dade. Some are Spanish speakers; please mention language needs when scheduling. Work injuries follow employer and insurance rules, which the treating provider and the patient's own advisors handle. Braintree does not give legal advice.

Testing at the local treating provider's office lets the patient be evaluated where they already get care, with a physician-reviewed report returned to that provider.

Questions

Homestead and Redland questions

Does Braintree have an office in Homestead?

No. Braintree is a mobile service. Testing takes place at the treating provider's office in the Homestead area. Braintree is based in the Tampa area and serves all of Florida.

Does testing confirm a brain injury?

Testing provides standardized information that a physician reviews. It does not guarantee any particular finding or diagnosis.

Is this emergency care?

No. Worsening headache, repeated vomiting, confusion, weakness, seizure, or loss of consciousness need 911 or the nearest emergency room.

Does Braintree treat patients?

No. Braintree is diagnostic only. The treating provider stays in charge of care and decides next steps.

Do you test patients from the Keys?

Testing takes place at a treating provider's office. If a Keys patient sees a provider in south Miami-Dade, we can test there.

Who you work with

Ben Thayer, Co-Founder and Co-Owner, coordinates provider and attorney relationships.

Dr. Jon Kimball, MD, Co-Founder, Clinical Lead, oversees the clinical side of Braintree's physician-reviewed reports.

Testing, not treatment

Braintree's testing is diagnostic. It is not treatment, not emergency care, and not legal advice. Testing does not guarantee a diagnosis or any case outcome. The treating provider stays in charge of care.

If this is a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Mobile testing is scheduled through the treating provider and is not a substitute for emergency care.
